I'm looking at booking a camp site for a tent at Fort Wilderness but we would arrive by rideshare and not renting a car. Would that be a problem? And we would like to ship some of our camping equipment to the resort beforehand, is that allowed?

Hey there Sarah, I am excited about your trek across North America to visit the "Most Magical Place on Earth" in September. It is a perfect time to visit because it is still warm and the kids in the United States are back in school. Just last week I was taking the Wilderness Back Trail Adventure tour at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort where they talked about the entire property including camping equipment.

Yes, you may take a rideshare to The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. You may also ship your camping equipment as long as it does not violate the Park Rules and Regulations. It will be delivered to the front desk of the Reception Outpost Depot (main lobby of the Resort). I recommend you reserve a Golf Cart in advance so you can transport your camping gear and zip around the Resort with ease. Please ship it to:

    Arrival Date on Reservation

    Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort
    4510 North Fort Wilderness Trail
    Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

Please note that you will need to reserve a Tent or Pop-Up Campsite which is a concrete pad. The pad is 10' x 25" with plenty of space to stretch out. When you are ready to mosey on home your items can be shipped from Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and will need to be pre-packed and pre-labeled so plan accordingly. You may find postage at the Meadow and Settlement Outposts if you need it.

Sarah, I hope this experience is as fun as camping in the Canadian Rockies which we experienced on our Adventures by Disney Canadian Rockies last year. Please feel free to write me back directly with any follow-up questions or for other Disney vacation planning tips.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
