Hi there, Rachel! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. It sounds like you’ll be visiting during the "
Most Magical Time of the Year." What a wonderful time for a Disney getaway!
As a mom of three (now almost grown) kids, I completely understand the value of a little adults-only time on vacation. Whether you’re planning a romantic dinner, an evening at EPCOT, or just a few peaceful hours to explore without the little ones, having trustworthy childcare makes a big difference. Years ago, Disney offered in-house kids’ clubs like the Neverland Club at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort (my kids absolutely loved this) but those closed a few years back.
More recently, when I’ve needed a sitter, I’ve used a service called Kid’s Nite Out. While they aren’t operated by Disney, they’re a trusted service that will send a caregiver right to your Disney Resort hotel room. They keep the kids entertained with activities like crafts, games, and story time. I’ve personally used them twice for runDisney races in the very early hours and both times, the caregivers were prompt, professional, and friendly. They care for children ages 6 months to 12 years, with a four-hour minimum, and you can find details and booking info on their website.
Now, for the fun part...what to do with your grown-up time! Since you’ll be there during the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, an evening walking around the World Showcase with seasonal snacks and the beautiful Candlelight Processional is a must-do. If you’re in the mood for something a little different, you could try a Monorail or Disney Skyliner lounge crawl. My favorite stop is The
Enchanted Rose at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Or, head over to Disney Springs for a night of shopping and dinner.
Wine Bar George is my go-to for amazing food and wine in a relaxed setting.
I hope this gives you some ideas for making your trip relaxing and fun, Rachel! If more questions pop up while you’re planning, you know where to find us.
See ya real soon!
