Hi Jessica,
Welcome to planDisney! The Walt Disney World Water Parks are definitely a must-do for my family whenever we head down to the House of Mouse! We schedule our water park visits in between our theme park days which allows us to experience the best of both worlds in one trip!
Disney theme park tickets and water park tickets are classified as separate entry tickets. If you have purchased a three-day
Water Park and Sports Option ticket, you are entitled to three visits to the Walt Disney World theme parks. In addition, you are entitled to three SEPARATE visits to either
Blizzard Beach,
Typhoon Lagoon (opening January 2nd!), one round of golf at
Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course, or one round of miniature golf, prior to 4 pm, at
Disney's Fantasia Gardens and Fairways or
Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Courses. You choose how to mix and match these visits as it works for your party. My family and I have done a theme park in the morning to afternoon, and then a round of miniature golf prior to dinner. Or, we have planned a day at Typhoon Lagoon (in my opinion, the BEST wave pool there is!), and an evening in the theme parks. It is entirely customizable depending on how your party wishes to spend their day. Keep in mind that for theme park visits, a park reservation is required, and be sure to check availability on the
Theme Park Reservation Calendar. There are no park reservations required for water parks at this time.
Water Park Planning Tip: Forgot towels? No problem! Both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach offer towel rentals. For day guests, towel rentals are $2 per towel (prices subject to change). For resort guests who are staying on property, towel rentals are free.
Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!
