I'm a little confused about the all you can eat platter from Whispering Canyon Cafe. Can the all you can eat platter be split between two adults or does each adult have to get their own? It seems to indicate family style but doesn't specifically say.

    Hi Melissa,

I LOVE the platter at the Whispering Canyon Cafe - so much yummy goodness.

With the platter, the stated price on the menu is the per person rate. If one person wants the platter, you'll pay that rate once. If two people want the platter, you'll pay that rate twice, and so on. The waiter will bring a started portion of food to the table on a communal dish, based on the number of people ordering the platter. After that, they'll check back periodically and will bring additional portions of whichever platter items the party wants. The food will be served family style from the platter, based on the number of people ordering.

If one person orders the platter one orders the New York Strip Steak (for example), then only one person should be eating from the platter - although frankly if you order two real entrees like this, no one will really care if steak person sneaks a few bites of chicken from the platter.

The situation to avoid is ordering and paying for just one platter and then having two people consume that food as their main meal. Due to the all-you-care-to-eat nature of the experience, it's not proper to pay for one meal but have two people consume it. The same principle applies at Disney's other family-style venues.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
