I'm an international student living in San Diego. Can I buy a So-Cal resident ticket showing my passport with US-Visa (photo included) verifying that I'm attending UC San Diego and a document from residential office verifying that I live on-campus?

Hello, Hyunggeun, and welcome to planDisney!

Thank you for stopping by with your question. The Special Southern California Resident Ticket deal is a wonderful way for Southern California residents to save money while getting a three-day, one-park per day ticket to the Disneyland Resort that is valid on non-consecutive weekdays until May 25, 2023. Eligible Guests must reside within ZIP codes 90000-93599.

I chatted with a Cast Member about your situation and I'm afraid that they are quite strict with the Southern California Resident ID requirements. In order to be eligible to use the Southern California Resident ticket, you must provide a government issued photo ID that lists your address within the eligible ZIP codes. Any other document would not suffice.

I'm sorry that's not the news you wanted to hear. However, as announced by the Disney Parks Blog, there will be more opportunities to purchase the lowest priced ticket throughout the year. And it's a great time to visit the Disneyland Resort right now. The Food & Wine Festival is going on at Disney California Adventure and there are so many tasty dishes to sample!

I hope that you are able to take a break from your studies and make it over to the Disneyland Resort soon, Hyunggeun. If there is anything else that you need, please do not hesitate to ask us here at planDisney.

    We'll see ya real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
