Hi, I'm interested in staying at the Boardwalk inn. Is Boardwalk Inn completely wheelchair friendly? Is there a way to get from the hotel rooms to the Boardwalk and the Friendship Boats without use the stairs?

    Hi Jacqueline!

Welcome back to planDisney! Disney’s BoardWalk Inn & Villas is one of our favorites and we stay there frequently. We’ll be staying there this month, and I can’t wait! The rooms are light and bright, there are so many dining options nearby and you can’t beat the location. You can walk, wheel, or boat to Epcot, or walk, wheel, boat, or take the Disney Skyliner to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Disney Skyliner is also wheelchair accessible! While I don’t have personal experience traveling with a wheelchair, I’ve made many visits with aging parents and strollers and so knowing where the elevators are located is key.

Disney Resort Collection Hotels are all wheelchair-friendly. At Disney's BoardWalk there are two elevators, one on each side of the resort, that allow Guests to access the BoardWalk area from the upper level of the hotel. The one elevator is located on the Inn side of the resort, across from the Belle Vue Lounge. The second elevator is on the Villa side of the resort and is the easiest elevator to use to get to the Luna Park Pool. So rest assured you’ll be able to enjoy all the benefits of staying at this amazing resort!

Please let us know if you have any additional questions, Jacqueline. I love talking about Disney and especially Disney’s BoardWalk Resort!

    Have a Magical Day!
