Ricci from NH Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hi! I’m interested in getting a little more information about how to use my DVC membership to book the Star Wars Galactic experience (or whatever it’s called…). Can you please assist me with that? Thanks!

    Bright Suns, Ricci!

Welcome to planDisney.  Doesn't the all-new Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser look absolutely incredible?! My fellow Panelists Crystal B. and Michelle D. just returned from an epic voyage on the Halcyon starcruiser and they said this immersive experience was beyond anything they ever could have dreamed –– from the cast of characters they met, to lightsaber training, to exploring hidden spaces throughout the ship (not to mention all the food!), it was a truly out-of-this-world adventure!

As a Disney Vacation Club Member, you might have imagined lots of places you could visit, but did you ever dream that your Membership could take you to a galaxy far, far away?  How cool that you're thinking of using your Vacation Points to choose your destiny and create your very own Star Wars story!  I'm happy to share some details about using your Points for Disney Experiences like Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser to help you prepare for launch.

Using Vacation Points outside of Disney Vacation Club Resorts, including Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, is known as a Disney Collection exchange.  While you can view Points Charts for these experiences on the DVC website, to check availability and begin the booking process, you'll need to give Member Services a call at (800) 800-9800.  Each confirmed Disney Collection exchange reservation is subject to a non-refundable $95 transaction fee due at the time of booking and most reservations are subject to the Rule of Four, which means that they can't be booked during the last four months of your Use Year for stays during the same year (however, you can book during the last four months if your stay will occur during an upcoming Use Year).  You can begin booking Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser reservations as soon as the Points Charts for your dates are available online, up to seven days before booking.

One important thing to keep in mind is that when you book a Disney Collection exchange, you're converting your Vacation Points to Reservation Points.  Once this has been done, those Points can no longer be used for Disney Vacation Club reservations.  This means that should you need to cancel your trip, those Points can only be used to book another Disney Collection stay –– they can't be used to book reservations at a DVC Resort.  You can find more details about modifying or canceling a Disney Collection reservation on the Disney Vacation Club website or by calling Member Services to speak with a Cast Member who will be happy to walk you through the process.

Thanks for visiting planDisney, Ricci!  I hope this helped to answer your questions about using Vacation Points for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. If you think of anything else, please stop back by –– we're always here to help!

    Till the Spires,
    Amy
