Salutations, Sam.
I'm so glad you followed Olaf through the Enchanted Forest and found your way here to planDisney! Hooray for planning a
Walt Disney World Resort family vacation! October may seem lightyears away, but it will be here before you know it.
As a picky eater myself, I completely sympathize with your family members’ plight. My family’s palates are extensively more adventurous than my own, so we find ourselves in this exact situation often.
Space 220 Restaurant indeed offers a prix fixe menu of delicious galactic grub. The good news is you should not be charged for the two that choose not to eat. However, you will need to let them know when you check in that two people will not be eating.
You might consider booking your dining reservation at
Space 220 Lounge instead, Sam. Unlike Space 220 Restaurant, you can select items from their small bites or drink menu, but you’ll also have the option of ordering off the restaurant's prix fixe menu as well. You’ll still have the same stellar views of earth down below and an out-of-this-world experience, but you will also have the flexibility to satisfy everyone’s varying tastes.
While the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival menus have yet to be released, I’m confident there will be sips and eats to please even the pickiest of taste buds at the Festival booths. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog closer to your trip for the Foodie Guide (menus) to be released. It will certainly help everyone decide what they want to sample before you arrive.
Sam, I’m so excited for you to make lifelong memories at The Most Magical Place on Earth this year! I hope this information helps with your planning. Be sure to follow
planDisney on
Instagram and check out the
planDisney Podcast for even more planning tips and advice.
Love is an open door,
Alyssa
