Welcome to planDisney, Staci! You will have so much to celebrate this fall at
Disneyland Resort. Not only will your princess have a birthday, but you'll also be there for Halloween. Spooky plans for this year are still being revealed, but one of my favorite screams last year was the overlay at
Haunted Mansion Holiday with characters from Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. So be sure to watch for those Hitchhiking Ghosts...and skeletons. Now let's talk about one of my favorite topics: food!
Staci, my entire family eats a plant-based diet, and when I ate at
Goofy's Kitchen at Disneyland Hotel recently, I asked one of the Cast Members about plant-based options. The chef rustled up a plant-based veggie omelet with a side of dairy-free pancakes for me! I was stuffed and happy. And my panelist pal
Tiffanie told me she's heard that
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures has offered items like a tofu scramble and plant-based sausage in the past.
Since menu items are subject to change, it's hard to know what plant-based dishes the chef will offer you during your visit, but I am confident there will be options. If you'd like to reach out to the
Special Dietary Requests Team, they might be able to give you more guidance about specific restaurants. I've found desserts are often the most difficult plant-based item to find, but it's not impossible. So, I'm sending some birthday pixie dust with a dash of witch's brew so you can have a delicious and diabolical birthday meal for your family.
I hope your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth is magical and memorable, Staci! Remember, whether you're searching for a birthday cake or a headless horseman,
planDisney panelists will do their best to help!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
