Hello! I'm a huge Star Wars fan and recently got back from a trip to Disneyland with family. I really want to do my first solo Disney trip during season of the force and attend Star Wars nite! Any tips/what should I keep in mind/important dates?

Hello there, Bella! Welcome to planDisney. Star Wars Nites are always dates long remembered, and as a fellow Star Wars fan, I completely understand the anticipation surrounding their return. The excitement runs high each year, and like you, I’m keeping a close watch on when tickets will become available.

As Master Yoda wisely said, “Always in motion is the future.” At this time, Disney has not announced official dates for the return of Season of the Force. In the past, this limited-time celebration has taken place in the spring months, typically from March through May. While we await news, I recommend keeping a close eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updates. This Force-filled festival often brings galactic-themed treats, exclusive merchandise, and thrilling entertainment across the resort.

Last year, the event introduced Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga, a breathtaking nighttime spectacular that lit up the skies over Batuu with unforgettable moments from the Skywalker saga, all set to John Williams’ legendary score. I had the chance to experience it while standing near the Millennium Falcon in Galaxy’s Edge, and nothing could have prepared me for the emotion of seeing the saga unfold across the stars.

Over in Tomorrowland, Hyperspace Mountain often makes a high-speed return during the celebration, throwing guests into the heart of an X-wing battle over Jakku. And Star Tours – The Adventures Continue keeps things fresh with randomized journeys across the galaxy. You never know where you’ll end up next!

For the ultimate fan experience, I highly recommend Star Wars Nite, a special after-hours event that unites fans from across the galaxy. Though exact dates haven’t yet been released, these events have typically been held in April and May. Highlights include a lightsaber meetup led by Rey, a costume cavalcade down Main Street, U.S.A., and rare character encounters. Last year’s guests could meet Han Solo and Princess Leia, take a holo-pic with C-3PO, or even spot Queen Amidala alongside Anakin Skywalker. I especially loved attending The Lightsaber Instructional. It was a unique exclusive offering that added extra magic to the night.

As you can see, Bella, the Force is strong at Disneyland in the springtime. Be sure to follow the Disney Parks Blog for the latest news, and if you need any additional planning tips, we at planDisney are here to help guide your journey through the galaxy.

May the Force be with you,
    David
