Hi Meghan, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! I’m excited to hear you’ll be at the Most Magical Place on Earth later this week.
Now, let’s make sure you have plenty of pillows to rest up after those long theme park days! Some rooms have a zippered fabric case in the closet with extra pillows and blankets, but you can always call Housekeeping from your room’s phone to request more. In my experience, they have plenty of additional pillows and blankets to bring. My family usually likes to keep our hotel room pretty cold, so one of the first things I do is to call Housekeeping for more blankets!
There are a couple of fun things happening while you’re there in April. First, as a
Disney Resort Hotel guest, you get
complimentary water park admission on check-in day. This is such a relaxing way to kick off your vacation!
Blizzard Beach is the water park currently open at Disney World and has everything from the chill
Melt-Away Bay lazy river (my personal favorite!) to the thrilling
Summit Plummet, one of the tallest free-fall body slides in the world.
The second thing I wanted to mention is the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. This is the most beautiful time to visit because it looks like Isabela Madrigal used her gift to cover EPCOT in incredible flowers and plants! I love sampling the food at the
Outdoor Kitchens, finding the different
character topiaries, and taking lots of
PhotoPass pictures with
festival-exclusive Magic Shots (there’s even a
new Figment topiary Magic Shot this year!). If you’re like me and like daydreaming about all the yummy food, you'll definitely want to check out the
Foodie Guide on
Disney Parks Blog to start planning your snacking strategy!
I’m wishing you the most magical visit to Disney World this week! And if you have any other questions, we’d love to have you back at planDisney.
