I’m a hold pass holder , I would like to know if I can upgrade to platinum? And what would the cost difference be? We are planning a trip during blackout dates and platinum does not have black out dates.

    Hi Jessica!

Being able to have an Annual Pass is a wonderful way to fill your year with pixie-dusted adventures and plenty of magic at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Luckily, you can upgrade your current Disney Gold Pass to a Disney Platinum Pass at any time!  Since you will be upgrading your Annual Pass before it is time to renew, you will need to do this in person at one of the Guest Relations locations at any of the four theme parks or at Disney Springs.  You will just pay the difference in price between what you originally paid for your Disney Gold Pass and the current price for the Disney Platinum Pass.  Also remember that since you are upgrading before it is time to renew, the expiration date for your upgraded Disney Platinum Pass will remain the exact same as it was for your Disney Gold Pass.

If you choose to upgrade from the Disney Gold Pass to the Disney Platinum Pass once it is time to renew your Passholder status, you can do this either online or in person at Guest Relations.  You can also do this over the phone if you are paying the full price at once instead of taking advantage of the Monthly Payment Option for Florida Residents.  If you choose to renew within the renewal period, your expiration date will be extended a year!

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
