Mary-Ellen,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
I am sorry that you are having a problem with upgrading your tickets to add the Park Hopper Option. Finding the right route to do so on the website can be a bit hard to navigate, but I think I can help. The two best ways to add that Park Hopper option are either to do so in person at one of the theme parks, or ahead of time from your My Disney Experience account. I prefer the latter, since I don't want to start my day at the parks waiting in a ticket line.
If you do need to do it in person, you can visit the Guest Relations desk at any of the theme parks before entering. They are always located just next to the park turnstiles.
But if you want to change things before you even arrive in Orlando, start by going to your My Disney Experience account, and you can make the upgrade yourself. Here are the steps to follow
- Starting at the Walt Disney World website, go to "My Disney Experience" from the top menu, at the far right. In that drop down menu, select "My Plans".
- Scroll down to the plans shown on your first day and click on "Change Reservation".
- On the page that comes up you will see all the elements of your vacation package. Scroll down to the "Theme Park Tickets" section and click on "Change" to the right.
- This will then take you to the original ticket ordering page where you can alter your tickets to add that option.
If you continue to have problems, you could reach out directly to Disney. At their Help Center you will see all their different support phone numbers, which in your case would be (407) 934-7639.
BONUS TIP #1
You do have to add the Park Hopper option before your first use of the tickets, so be sure to do so before you enter your first park.
BONUS TIP #2
Remember that when you are park hopping, getting into that second park is reliant on that park's capacity limitations.
I do appreciate that you wrote me back, and if I can help with more questions, please feel free to write me back.
Have a Magical Vacation!
Doug
