If I’m gifting Disney tickets using my Florida resident discount to my sister who lives out of state, can she use them without me present

    Welcome to planDisney, Franchesca!

How sweet of you it is to gift tickets to your sister!

Franchesca, you should know that you will be unable to purchase Florida resident tickets for your sister unless she is a minor. You see, each adult using a Florida resident discounted ticket must provide proof of Florida residency to activate their ticket. If your sister is a minor, you will need to go with her on the first day that she plans to visit the park so that you can activate her ticket for her.

Franchesca, if you are planning on giving a regular admission ticket to your sister, you do not have to be present for the first day of use, as long as the ticket is linked to your sister's My Disney Experience Account

Have a fabulous visit with your sister, Franchesca!
