Hi im going to be flying in from California and will be arriving in resort at around 1.00am would I need do my booking from the day before? For example if we arrive at 1.30am on 20th June 2023 would the booking need to be from the 19th June?

Hi Hayley! Welcome back to planDisney!

It's great to see that you're already thinking about a sweet summer holiday at Walt Disney World Resort! We've visited during the summer months many times and while I know some people don't like the heat, I say bring it on! Even the quick thunderstorms are welcome as they tend to clear out the Parks and make the lines for my favorite attractions a little bit shorter!

Since you'll be arriving at your Disney Resorts Collection hotel in the wee hours of the morning on the 20th of June I think you'll be thankful for a room you can crash in right away! If you book your Resort reservations starting on the 20th you might not be able to gain access to your room until the official Resort check-in time at 3 p.m. on June 20th.  If I were you I would definitely plan on reserving your Guest room for the 19th so that you're able to head right up to your room and rest up for the rest of your fantastic vacation when you arrive at 1 a.m.

You'll even be able to use the Online Check-In service on your My Disney Experience mobile app so that you can head directly to your room once you arrive.  With Direct-to-Room service you can bypass the Front Desk by checking for your Guest Room number and unlocking your door right from your My Disney Experience app.  It's Disney magic at its finest!

    Have a wonderful stay, Hayley!

Meet the Panelist: Ashley, Massachusetts

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
