Greetings Rebecca!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you are in the running for Grandma and Grandpa of the Year when you purchase Walt Disney World tickets for your grandkids!
One of the significant advantages of living close to The Mouse is the excellent discounts to be had on Disney Theme Park tickets, and I love that you want to take advantage of that. Since you and your husband are Florida Residents, you can purchase
tickets for yourselves and the grandbabies. Unfortunately, unless your daughter and son-in-law have proof of Florida Residency (which it sounds like they don’t), you will be unable to get the discount on their passes.
You can purchase in person at any of the four theme park ticket windows, online, or at the brand new
Disney Ticket Center located in
Disney Springs. If you purchase them online, you can pick them up at will call. When you pick them up, make sure to have Florida-issued ID to show proof of residency.
While the kiddos are visiting, I think a fabulous place to go on a “date” with the grandparents, is
Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Grandma and Grandpa will love the “vintage” toys, and everyone can get in on the fun at
Toy Story Mania! I say whoever “wins” treats everyone to breakfast at
Disney Jr Play ’n Dine, where the kiddos can meet their favorite Disney Jr pals, and everyone can enjoy some delicious Mickey waffles!
Rebecca, if you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to come back. I wish you a
play BIG vacation!
