Hi. I’m a Florida resident and my daughter is coming to visit and stay for my birthday. I want to go to Disney with her for my birthday. If I purchased one of the resident passes. What will be the best option for her? TIA Claudia

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Claudia! I can’t think of a more magical place, than the Walt Disney World Resort, to celebrate a birthday! Thanks for stopping in to see us with your question.

If your daughter is under the age of 18, you can absolutely purchase a theme park ticket or a Walt Disney World Annual Pass for her. Anyone over the age of 18 is required to show Proof of Florida Residency in order to use tickets meant for Florida residents.

When purchasing your tickets, try to plan out how many days you would like to visit. You can very easily select the option to purchase multiple day tickets on Disney’s official theme park ticket site. If you like to visit multiple theme parks on the same day, you might want to consider adding the park hopper option to your base ticket. This would allow you to bounce from park to park (kind of like Tigger) on the same day!

Remember that you can book a Disney Resort hotel stay using a Florida Resident discount. She’s welcome to stay with you! I suggest taking a look at the Special Offers page for Florida Residents. Mickey offers promotions for every season of the year, especially for his neighbors!

Claudia, I hope I’ve been able to help. Don’t hesitate to come back to see us if you have any additional planning questions. Helping you with the details of your next magical visit is our pleasure!
