Hi, im going with my family to disneyland from may 5 to may 9 this year, i know the fireworks don´t play during the week, but in this week will be possible? Thanks!

Hello, Christian! Oh boy! I'm so thrilled you and your family have a visit to Disneyland coming up and am excited for all the wonder and fun you're about to experience.

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your great question. I can understand why your family really wants to see the fireworks at Disneyland Park. My family is the same way! There's something so magical about seeing the sky light up, with that music (!), in the Happiest Place on Earth. But more than that, experiencing it with the people you love is so very special. I'm getting misty-eyed just thinking about it!

Based on the time of year, Christian, fireworks in Disneyland Park may occur every night or weekends only, it just depends! I encourage you to check the Hours & Events Calendar on the Disneyland website six weeks prior to your visit (which is coming up soon for you!), under "Fireworks & Nighttime Entertainment," for the most current information and to see which dates fireworks may be occurring during your visit. Make sure your particular date is selected from the "Change Date" at the top.

Our family's favorite spot to view the fireworks is over by "it's a small world," as the crowds are usually much lighter back there! Projections will be up on the attraction's facade, so make sure you have a clear view of "it's a small world!" Plan to arrive 30-45 minutes before the show is scheduled to begin to claim a spot. Then while you're waiting for the show to begin, some of you could take a rest on the little travel blanket you brought (because your planDisney pal recommended it!) to take a break, while others go explore the park. But make sure they bring back some treats! Our family's go-to is the seasonal sundae from The Golden Horseshoe. Remember to mobile order, as it saves you so much time!

All that said, it's important to know that the schedule can change at any time and fireworks at Disneyland Park can also be cancelled last minute due to weather, unfortunately.

Well, Christian, I hope this information has been helpful! As you continue to prepare for your upcoming visit, please don't hesitate to come back and ask me another question! I'd love to share more of my tips and recommendations for a truly magical time in Disneyland, like maybe my go-to spots to take a break with little ones or strategies to make sure you hit all your top priorities.

More than that though, from the bottom of my heart, Christian, I wish you the most magical visit with your family!
