What are gluten free options at Disneyland?

John! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for trusting us with your great question.

For Guests with food allergies, heading to a theme park can understandably cause a bit of worry (and for their family too)! Hopefully I can help take some stress of your plate, because you've got a magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth to enjoy!

Let's dig into some of my favorite gluten-free food options in Disneyland like the Endorian Roasted Chicken Salad from Docking Bay 7, Little Town Harvest Bowl at Red Rose Taverne, Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup Combo from Jolly Holiday Bakery, Shrimp and Grits at Tiana's Palace, QuesaBirria Street Tacos at Cocina Cucamonga and, of course, all the popcorn and kettle corn! Remember, menus are always subject to change, so I suggest you check out online menus before your visit and note the allergy-friendly menu options listed.

Just a heads up, in my experience, you may be unable to purchase gluten-free (or any other diet friendly) options via Mobile Food Ordering, so just be prepared to order in person, at times! Check the Disneyland app when ordering for availability.

When making any advance dining reservations, John, be sure to share any special dietary requests when you make the reservation. Indicate these specific allergies under "Dietary Requests." Then mention your dietary requests when you check-in for your meal and also remind your server. You may also request to speak with the Chef or a special diets-trained Cast Member. Although not a guarantee, this resource is available to Guests at many dining locations and worth the ask!

Lastly, for any Guest who has allergy-friendly or special dietary requests, I always recommend a wonderful resource on the Disneyland website that provides a really helpful overview on what to expect and how to plan ahead. (Note: You are allowed to bring your own food into the parks.)

John, I can't help but notice you are from California, so I have to make sure you know about the SoCal Resident Ticket! This special 3-day, one park per day ticket is for Guests who reside within ZIP codes 90000 and 93599 and is such a great deal to take advantage of, if you qualify! Visit three times through May 15, 2025 (subject to theme park reservation availability) to experience the gluten-free SNICKERS Mickey-shaped macaron at Food & Wine Festival (happening through April 21) and take in all the magic at the Happiest Place on Earth!

If any other questions come up in your planning, John, please don't hesitate to stop by again. Happy to help!

    Cheers!

Meet the Panelist: McCayla, Washington

Hello from the Pacific Northwest! I'm McCayla, a wife and mom dreaming of adventure in the great wide somewhere, yet also completely content watching Toy Story from the couch. My love of Disneyland began as a little girl on Peter Pan's Flight and only grows with each visit. But even when I'm not physically at the Happiest Place on Earth, I truly feel that same joy when I can help others (YOU!) experience the magic of Disneyland Resort too.
