I’m excitedly planning a trip to WDW with my two daughters & infant grandchild! We are interested in an Art of Animation suite. How can I ensure we won’t be staying in a room that previously welcomed a dog guest?

Magical Greetings, Heather! Thank you for visiting planDisney, and for your question!

Oh, I am so excited to hear you're planning to visit Walt Disney World Resort in December! The merriest time of year is the best! I hope you and your family enjoy the festive decor, including the Christmas Tree Stroll at Disney Springs! Each theme park is decorated per its theme, and EPCOTs tree is my favorite! Enjoy celebrating the holidays "around the world" during the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays! The Holiday Cookie Stroll is a fun activity, as well as Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt! And if this is your grandchild's first visit, commemorate this special occasion by picking up a special holiday ornament at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe at Disney's Magic Kingdom!

I completely understand not wanting a room that's had a four-legged friend in it previously! The Disney Resort Hotel rooms that accommodate guests and their pets are available on certain floors and sections of the resort, so I do not think you will have a problem getting a Family Suite at Disney's Art of Animation Resort that is pet-free. To be completely sure, you can call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line and add that request to your reservation.

Heather, thank you again for visiting planDisney. If you need additional pixie dust planning for your holiday visit, send me questions directly! You've got a friend in me!

    Happy Planning!
