Greetings, Gretchen.
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by to chat about planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Don’t get me wrong, I love spending time with my Prince Charming at our home away from home, but there is something extra special about traipsing through The Most Magical Place on Earth with my sister. The bond we have is further enriched by spending uninterrupted time together making memories to last a lifetime in our happy place. I can’t wait for you to experience this same sisterly magic on your vacation with your sister this fall!
I have some good news for you, Gretchen! When you book a vacation package to Walt Disney World Resort 31 days or more prior to your arrival,
you only need to pay a $200 deposit at the time of booking. You can easily make payments on your package over time by calling (407) 939-1936 or via the "My Plans" page when logged into your
My Disney Experience account online (just scroll down until you see "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets” and select the link that says "Make a Payment"). The balance of your vacation package must be paid in full 30 days prior to your arrival. If you wait and book your vacation package 30 days or less prior to your arrival, the payment is due in full at the time of booking. The sooner you
get started on booking your vacation package, the better since you want to make sure you are able to secure the Theme Park Reservations you want via the
Disney Park Pass page.
Gretchen, here is a list of my must-dos for a sisters-only trip to Walt Disney World Resort. If you can, I encourage you to wear matching shirts or coordinating outfits and Minnie Ears (it makes for some super cute pictures).
- Meet your fellow Disney Princesses at Princess Fairytale Hall in Magic Kingdom Park and all around World Showcase in EPCOT.
- Take a video of your spin on Mad Tea Party so you can watch it back later and see the laughter and joy it gave you both.
- Share a Peanut Butter & Jelly Milk Shake at 50's Prime Time Café in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
- Attempt to conquer the Kitchen Sink at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop or the Chocolate "Fiesta" Pyramid at San Angel Inn Restaurante.
- Try all the sips, treats, and eats you can handle at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
- Ask to sit in the back seat on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad - it really will be The Wildest Ride in the Wilderness!
- Do the Pick-a-Pearl experience and get a matching piece of jewelry with your pearls at the Pearl Factory Kiosk - Disney Springs Marketplace or at the Japan Pavilion in EPCOT (subject to availability).
- Watch the fireworks light up the night sky in Disney Enchantment or Harmonious.
- Capture all the Disney PhotoPass photos you can together.
I hope you and your sister have an amazing trip together, Gretchen! Please stop back by planDisney if more questions pop up along the way!
Until next time,
Alyssa
