Welcome aboard, Pamela! My 11 year-old daughter and I just returned home this week from seven magical nights at sea on the Disney Wonder for our own Mother-Daughter cruise! I'm excited that you'll get to enjoy the same!
You didn't mention how old your daughter is, but no matter if she's a child or an adult, there is
something for everyone. There are tons of activities all day and night, which might seem overwhelming at first, but have no fear, because it's easy to navigate all the options. First of all, be sure you both have the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App downloaded to your mobile devices before you arrive at port. This will help you keep in touch with the free texting through the app, as well as keep you in the loop of all the activities.
When you view the activities on the app, you can click the heart next to the ones you definitely want to attend. The app will then remind you about 15 minutes prior that it's about to begin. I love that! The texting onboard is also wonderful through the app. My daughter was able to text me when she was in Edge, the tween club, if she was leaving to go get ice cream with a new friend, or heading back to the stateroom, or wondering where I was. We each had our individual time doing the activities that were perfect for us, and of course lots of time together at the amazing dinners, shows, and other family fun around the ship.
My best advice is don't try to do it all. There is no way you can! Just check out the Navigator each day and choose a few must-do's and go from there. When you have downtime, I also recommend just grabbing a book and lounging on Deck Four, the walking track, where you can read with the best ocean view out there!
Enjoy planning, Pamela, and please stop back if we can help with other questions!
