Hi, I´m in doubt about what ship and destination would offer the best experience for our family (2 daughters- 7 and 4 years old) within April/13. We have in mind 2 options: Dream - 3 Bahamas day and Wonder- 5 Caribbean day). Thanks.

    Welcome aboard, Igor!

The Dream is a newer cruise ship with so many technological advances, I could go on forever about it! The 3-night Bahamian cruise on the Dream will stop at Castaway Cay and Nassau. Castaway Cay is Disney's private island oasis. There is so much to do there, or the possibility of just relaxing and doing nothing at all because Disney takes care of all the details.

The Wonder is one of Disney's smaller ships. It doesn't have the brand new technology everywhere like you'd see on the Dream, but in all honesty, I love the ship's smaller size and more personal attention and atmosphere. On the Wonder's 5-night sailing in April, there are two itineraries, A and B. Itinerary A stops at Castaway Cay and Cozumel with two at-sea days. Itinerary B stops in Grand Cayman and Cozumel with two at-sea days.

The choice would be easy for me:  the Wonder for the 5-night cruise on itinerary A, stopping in Castaway Cay. Sure the Wonder isn't as brand new as the Dream, and certainly not as large, but that gives it so much more charm. My family loves the more intimate atmosphere onboard. With less guests, it gives us the chance to really get to know the Cast Members, and they can really make the cruise amazing for us! Since Itinerary A stops at Castaway Cay, you still get that magical stop that the Bahamian cruise gets, but you also add two at-sea days. During these days you will really get the chance to take part in the events and activities that are going on around the ship. Your girls will get to have more time in the Oceaneer's Club and Lab and with their favorite characters.

I hope this helps you make your decision, Igor. Though I'm sure you would love your three nights on the Dream, you would surely come to night three wishing you had more time, and that extra time brings so much extra magic with it. Please let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your cruise! Happy sailing!
