I'm doing two hoppers - one Epcot first, HS second; next day AK first, HS second. I plan on purchasing multi-pass lightning lane, but I'm concerned about how much I'll be able to use it for HS rides. Can you help me strategize?

    Hey there Sarah!

Welcome to planDisney! Park hopping lets you maximize that Disney fun, and I love your plan to tackle multiple parks in a couple of days. Woo hooo! Your trip is just around the river bend, and I bet you're getting very excited for the magic. So let's Bibbidi Bobbidi Boost that Lightning Lane Pass strategy for you!

Here's what I would do, Sarah. In my experience, you are able to purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass (LLMP) for whichever park you chose... regardless of where you begin your Park Hopping day. On your EPCOT / Hollywood Studios day, I recommend purchasing LLMP for Hollywood Studios the day your booking window opens, promptly at 7:00 am Eastern Time. If you like "Slinky Dog Dash", I'd grab that first for my top "Tier 1" selection. Those go very fast, and will run out for the day quite quickly. Although you can book another experience once you have checked in and used a Lightning Lane pass, my fear if you start your day with EPCOT Lightning Lane Multi Pass booked is that by the time that occurs... Hollywood Studios availability will be greatly reduced. Even if you are only able to utilize your LL for 3 experiences that day, I think it's definitely still worth the time you will save standing in line! I find it allows my family to slow down a bit and enjoy all aspects of the park more fully, when we've saved ourselves that time.

For an EPCOT strategy, my family often books a Lightning Lane Single Pass for Guardians of the Galaxy (because it's the BEST RIDE IN THE UNIVERSE!), and then just tries to make rope drop to enjoy the other attractions on our must-do list. I say "tries" because I have groggy teenagers, who are traveling to Disney World from Mountain Time zone. Your mileage may vary. May the Force Be With You.

For your second day strategy, if you've secured LL passes for your top Hollywood Studios priorities, perhaps go ahead and book your Lightning Lane Multi Pass at Animal Kingdom. The earlier your first reservation time window, the better. As soon as your swipe in for that reserved attraction, hop on to My Disney Experience app immediately and see what you can get for Hollywood Studios later that day!

One last tip before I go. I recently had one of the best quick-service dining meals of my life at Hollywood Studio's Docking Bay 7... that Endorian Fried Chicken Tip Yip was ridiculously yummy!!

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any additional Disney planning questions I can help with.

    See ya' real soon!
