Hi, Jennifer! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question!
September is such a lovely time to visit the Disneyland Resort. If you happen to be traveling after September 7, then you will get to enjoy all the spooky fun of
Halloween Time! The parks will be decorated with autumn leaves, pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, and orange bunting and the very special Mickey’s Halloween Party will take place on select nights (separate ticket required).
At this time, there are no other splash pads at the parks other than Princess Dot Puddle Park in “a bug’s land” which is scheduled to close sometime late this summer. If you are staying at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel, however, then you have some wonderful ways to cool off on those hot, sunny days. Each hotel features sparkling pools, slides, and spas. And if you are traveling with little ones, they even provide life jackets to use free of charge.
If you are looking for ways to cool down while in the parks, look no further than Grizzly River Run where you will get soaked and Splash Mountain where you might just get sprinkled or completely wet. Or if perhaps just some nice air conditioning will do the trick, spend some time in the Disney Animation Building in Disney California Adventure Park. All inside this one building you can meet Anna and Elsa, draw one of your favorite characters in Animation Academy, explore the Sorcerer’s Workshop, and even chat with some of your favorite characters from Finding Nemo at Turtle Talk with Crush.
If you have any other questions as you plan your trip, please stop by again. See ya real soon!
