Hello Lydia!
It's great to see you here with another question as you prepare for your upcoming visit. I just
love experiencing Disney Parks during the holidays. The entertainment, the decor, and the specialty snacks all seem just a little more magical as we head into the final months of the year. Let's discuss how the halls might be decked during your trip.
Since you're visiting after
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort comes to an end, I want to prepare you to expect some decor transition if you're heading to the parks on your arrival day. I remember being a little sad about missing a photo with the iconic
Main Street, U.S.A. Mickey Pumpkin on my very first visit to Disneyland Resort in early November 2015, but not to worry! Plenty of festive merriment is still in store for your visit. In fact, you'll probably wake up to a complete transformation on November 10th, which is always as exciting as it is an impressive feat of logistics.
The Holidays at Disneyland Resort are set to begin on November 10, 2023, and are sure to dazzle with an array of lights, tinsel, and trimmings across the parks and resorts. You can expect the return of wreaths down Main Street, U.S.A. in
Disneyland Park, and an absolutely gorgeous overlay at
"it's a small world" Holiday. I had the chance to experience the holiday version of this classic attraction last year and was blown away by the splendor of the season.
Speaking of overlays, you'll also have the opportunity to see Jack Skellington's handiwork at
Haunted Mansion Holiday. The Pumpkin King has already taken over the Haunted Mansion and will continue to delight and spook guests there through January 7, 2024. It's truly the perfect mashup of Halloween and Christmas all-in-one fantastic attraction. There isn't a character greeting at this time, but you'll be able to spot him in a few different spots throughout your ride.
Be sure to make time to watch
A Christmas Fantasy Parade before you head over to experience all the holly jolly fun at
Disney California Adventure Park. Cars Land is especially adorable during the holiday season, and you won't want to miss any of the food and fun of the
Disney Festival of Holidays.
As you're jingling all the way around the parks don't miss your chance to enjoy a delicious Mickey Gingerbread cookie. Last year, these delightful little morsels were available at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe and the holiday cart in the lobby at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. I only had one last visit but am still dreaming of it to this day. Maybe pick up a few extra for the trip home, just in case.
Wishing you a magical visit,
Amy
