I'm going to Disneyland After Dark: 70 Years of Favorites. Can I enter the park on the Monorail, and if so, is there a place to check-in for the event at the gate to the Monorail? Is there a place to check-in inside the Disneyland park? Where exactly?

Welcome to planDisney, Jeff! Disneyland After Dark: 70 Years of Favorites sounds like an incredible night of nostalgia, rare characters, and celebration. I’m happy to help you sort through the arrival details so you can step right into the fun.

If you’re arriving during the mix-in period (which begins at 6:00 p.m.), you may use the Disneyland Monorail to enter the park, as long as it is operating during regular park hours that evening. The Monorail usually runs until the park closes to day guests ( at 8:00 p.m. on this date), so arriving before that time gives you the option to enter through the Downtown Disney District and glide straight into Tomorrowland. However, if you arrive after regular park closing, the Monorail will no longer be operating, and you’ll need to enter through the Main Entrance gates on the Esplanade.

For event check-in, Disneyland After Dark parties typically offer wristband distribution locations at the Main Entrance inside the park for Guests who enter during mix-in. In past events, an additional check-in location has often been set up in Tomorrowland near The Star Trader. That said, locations can vary slightly by event, so once you enter, I recommend asking the nearest Cast Member to direct you to the designated wristband distribution area for 70 Years of Favorites. They’ll point you exactly where you need to go.

If you’d like to make the most of the mix-in hours, consider arriving right at the start of that window. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy a favorite attraction with shorter waits or grab a bite before the exclusive entertainment begins. Table-service dining locations do accept reservations during the mix-in period, which can be a relaxing way to ease into the evening before the party officially kicks off.

Jeff, I hope this helps you feel confident about your arrival plan. There’s something special about stepping into Disneyland and knowing the night ahead is filled with limited-time magic. I hope your celebration is full of favorite moments and unforgettable memories.

Have an incredible After Dark adventure,
    David
