Hi, I’m going to Disney World in December from the 23rd to the 31st. But I must ask, will Disney have a New Year’s Eve 2023 celebration? If so, when do the tickets become available and where do I purchase them?

A very merry welcome to planDisney, Juliana!

It sounds like you're making plans to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth during the most wonderful time of year! With so many holiday favorites returning to Walt Disney World Resort this year, you're in for an extra special trip. I'd love to help you make the most out of every magical minute!

In years past, Walt Disney World Resort has hosted several different events and activities to celebrate New Year's Eve. At this time, we haven't heard any details quite yet, but I hope that we'll be able to find out soon! My best tip would be to check out the Disney Parks Blog, which always announces these exciting updates first. But that doesn't mean that you can't start planning! There are a few things you can begin planning now to make the most out of your upcoming trip.

First, be sure that you've made your theme park reservations using the Disney Park Pass system. This is an important step to reserve the parks you wish to visit on each day of your trip! If you haven't made these reservations yet, I'd suggest making them at your earliest convenience. When looking at the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar, it appears as though Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park are both available for New Year's Eve. While you can have a truly wonderful time at either park, out of the two, I would recommend reserving Disney's Hollywood Studios since it will likely be open until midnight – which is a perfect way to have fun all the way into 2023!

Before you arrive, you may want to take some time to download and explore everything that the My Disney Experience app has to offer. This will allow you to check wait times for attractions, view park maps, and even mobile order food. I love knowing my meals and snacks will be ready right when I'd like them!

Juliana, keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updated offerings you can expect to find at Walt Disney World Resort! Until then, if you have any other questions, please visit us again. You've got a friend in me!

    See ya real soon!
