    hello- I'm going to Disney on 1/22 and staying at Port Oleans Riverside- are ALL of the rooms renovated? Any specific preference on which buiiding to stay (have 3 and 6 year old gilrs). Also- are the pools open in January? Are they heated?

    Hi Barbara! You are going to love Port Orleans - Riverside! As I'm sure you heard, several rooms at Port Orleans - Riverside are being transformed into Royal Guest Rooms, complete with fireworks over the bed, popping with fiber optics, surprises left behind by princesses, royal scrolls, elaborate headboards and beautiful bedding. 

    The rooms in the Alligator Bayou section of the resort are also going through renovation. You can take a sneak peak at some of the new story rooms at the Disney Parks blog.

    Check out the website port orleans dot org for the latest on the room renovations and information on which rooms are undergoing renovation.

    You will be happy to know that the pools are open and kept at 82 degrees year round! Disney keeps all of their pools heated to make sure that guests can enjoy the water no matter when they visit!
