Hi Gianna,
I was so excited when
Disney After Hours events were added because I love all of the ticketed events at Disney World. There is something extra special about being in the parks with all the dazzling lights after dark. The ultimate thrill though is that you get to ride so many different rides with a much shorter wait time because of the limited number of tickets they sell. As a result, I don't typically recommend making dining reservations during the hours of the event.
The good news is that even though the After Hours event doesn't start until 9:30 or 10 PM, you can enter the theme park at 7 PM and start exploring while it is still open to regular-day guests. I always make my dining reservations between 7 PM and when the event starts. This allows you to eat dinner inside the theme park but also enjoy every minute of Disney After Hours. This also ensures that you get to eat where you want because most of the restaurants will close during the After Hours Event.
If you are looking for some recommendations, I have dined at most of the restaurants in Disney World and can let you in on my favorites. In Magic Kingdom, I always go to
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen. The food is delicious, the cast members are so much fun, and the environment is relaxing. At EPCOT, I never miss a chance to eat at
Le Cellier Steakhouse. Their Traditional Poutine is something that I dream about when I am not on vacation. When heading to Hollywood Studios, I hit up
Roundup Rodeo BBQ for the delicious food and a chance to feel like a kid again.
Happy Planning
Jenna
