Hi Linda, and welcome back to planDisney! I’m so excited to see that you’ll be walking down Main Street, U.S.A. and enjoying all the Mickey-shaped snacks in just a few days. So let’s chat about transportation to the theme parks so you’re all set for your vacation.
If you're staying at the
Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek, they have shuttle service to and from all four theme parks, including EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. You’ll receive the latest shuttle schedule when you check in, but you can also preview the current schedule on their website under Frequently Asked Questions (it's on their direct website, not their page on the Disney World website). Each bus can accommodate two scooters or wheelchairs, and the Shuttle Information section of the website notes that riders using a scooter should call to make a reservation at least four hours in advance. I’d suggest confirming the exact process when you check in, or giving them a call ahead of time.
You’re going to be at Disney World during my absolute favorite time of the year, when the theme parks and resort hotels are decorated in beautiful seasonal decorations! While Magic Kingdom often steals the holiday spotlight with the Christmas tree and wreaths on Main Street, U.S.A., I just love the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays because there’s so much going on. I love listening to the Holiday Storytellers around World Showcase, hearing
Voices of Liberty sing Christmas carols, and trying all the delicious small plates at the Holiday Kitchen booths. You can preview the offerings in the
Disney Parks Blog Foodie Guide. And if you’re interested in meeting Santa, you can find both classic Santa and Santa Goofy at EPCOT. How cool is that?!
I’m wishing you a magical visit to Disney World during the merriest time of year! And if you have any other questions, we’d love to have you back at planDisney.
