I’m defeated , can’t seem to get premier passes for any days I’m eligible for Magic Kingdom . Everyday I check and that park is unavailable . The single lane and other options don’t work due to the timing . Any suggestions ? Sad grandma

Hello, Erminia, and welcome back to planDisney! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is coming up in just a few sleeps, so I hope your family is in countdown mode.

I'm so sorry to hear you're having problems purchasing Lightning Lane Premier Passes. Let's do some troubleshooting. Maybe we can discover a little pixie dust!

My first suggestion is to call the Tickets and Hotel Reservations line. Those Cast Members can see your My Disney Experience account and make sure your details are in order. They can also help you purchase any available Lightning Lane passes and book return times for the Multi and Single passes.

For example, if you're staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, you should be within the 7-day window to purchase Lightning Lane passes. But if your resort reservation isn't linked to your account, the system will make you wait until the 3-day mark to purchase Lightning Lane passes. Cast Members can link all your tickets and reservations, if that's the issue.

If all your ducks are in a row, but you still can't purchase a Premier Pass, it could be because the daily allotment has already been sold. The Premier Pass has less availability since it's so flexible. Disney wants every guest to have a magical time, and too many Premier Passes might make that difficult for others.

It sounds like you're bringing a sweet grandchild or two along! Talk about making some memories; Walt Disney World is the perfect place for that. If you can get a jumpstart on your day, you'll typically have lower wait times when the park first opens. And if you're staying at a Disney resort, you can enter the theme parks 30 minutes early! You might find you don't miss having that Premier Pass, after all.

And waiting in the standby queues can be fun if the kiddos have the Play Disney Parks mobile app. I'm sure they can download it and figure it out WAY quicker than I can explain it! And I bet they'll be happy to teach you how to play along.

Erminia, I hope I've given you some ideas to help you get to the bottom of why those Premier Passes are so elusive. I don't want you to be sad; I think the true magic happens when you spend time with family, so I'm cheering you on! Please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
