I'm currently expecting a little one due end of September. I wanted to take a Disney World trip in December, but my husband feels the baby would be too young. I told him the trip is more for us, then the baby. Can you highlight some of the advantages.

Hi Eboni and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Congratulations on your upcoming new addition! Thanks for bringing us your question!

I understand exactly where you are coming from, Eboni. My husband and I also visited the Walt Disney World Resort when our youngest daughter was about three months old. We needed to get out of the house! We ended up having a great time, but we definitely had to make some adjustments.

While you may not be able to be have a “rope drop” to “park close” kind of day, you can still have fun. Remember that you are always able to leave the theme park and return later during the day if your little one needs a nap. My family and I left the park mid-day for our daughter’s nap and we all came back feeling refreshed. We also used the Baby Care Centers at all four of the theme parks to nurse, change and take a little break from the crowds.

You and your husband can use the Rider Switch service to be able to enjoy attractions. Since you’re visiting during the Holidays, there will be lots of beautiful Christmas decorations to enjoy. I always enjoyed a nice walk around the theme parks with our little one fast asleep in her stroller.

Eboni, you and your hubby can definitely enjoy a slower pace visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. Before you know it, you’ll have a toddler on your hands who will be keeping you on your toes!

I hope this information is helpful to you! Please feel free to drop by again with any additional questions! Helping you plan your magical stay is our specialty!
