Hi there Sharon, and welcome to planDisney!
I can see you're just as excited as I am to return to a land of magic. Like you, I'm not one of Mickey Mouse's closest neighbors, so I'll be waiting and watching to see when Guests who don't reside in California will be able to visit
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park once again. When it's time, the
Disney Parks Blog will be the first place to break the news, so
stay tuned!
In the meantime,
all are invited to reserve a room at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and a staycation may be just the dose of magic you need! If you book a future stay in hopes that
theme park reservations will be available to out-of-state residents but decide to postpone, you can do so at no additional cost, so long as you
cancel or modify at least 5 days in advance of your check-in date if you book a room-only reservation, or 30 days prior to the start of a vacation package. If you cancel inside of these windows, you will be subject to fees and/or loss of paid deposits. If you're worried you might need to reschedule at some point, I recommend going the room-only route since there is a little more leeway in the timeline.
I hope this is helpful, and I will be wishing upon a star right with you that all of us will soon be
returning to a land of magic. Thanks for sending your question our way, and we'll see ya real soon!
Betsy
