Disney is happy to help your family celebrate a birthday no matter when that birthday is! Ask your travel agent or the agents at Disney Cruise Line (800-951-3532) to add a note to your reservation saying that you'll be celebrating a birthday onboard. The Cast Members love to go out of their way to make birthday guests feel special. Your dining servers will also sing a song and present the birthday guest with a special dessert one night! If you want to go all out, there are additional birthday decorations packages or specialty cakes that can be pre-ordered through the
Gifts and Amenities page of Disney Cruise Line's website.
Last year, my friends back home surprised me by pre-ordering birthday decor for my stateroom when I sailed over my birthday. When my family and I opened to door that first day, we were greeted with ceiling to floor decorations! What a wonderful way to begin our cruise!
Taking your child to the
Royal Court Royal Tea would be a fabulous birthday gift! I don't believe they celebrate birthdays during this event the same way they do during your dining rotation, however, be sure to let the Cast Members know, as you arrive, about the birthday guest, and I'm sure they'll recognize them in some way!
