I'm considering the BR for our 3YO's first Disney visit; however, I recently read that this resort is not on the MK monorail. What is the transportation method from BR to MK, and how long does it generally take?

There is nothing more exciting than planning your child's first trip to Walt Disney World and the Disney Parks Mom Panel is a great place to ask for help and ideas, so thank you for visiting us.
If you are considering resorts on the Magic Kingdom monorail route Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney's Polynesian Resort, Disney's Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Towers are ones you can research.  Another is Disney's Wilderness Lodge which is a quick bus or boat ride away.
Now, you are referencing BR as an option. I am not sure if you are speaking of Disney Beach Club Resort or Disney's Boardwalk Inn, either way both are just a quick bus ride to the Magic Kingdom. Each resort has a clearly marked bus stop and buses are marked with their destinations as they pull up which is usually within minutes. There may be times you have walked up just as the bus of your choice has left but no worries another will arrive soon enough.
A fun little website you can go to to estimate travel time is ourlaughingplace.com. From there click on transportation wizard and choose from a list of options to see some possible travel times.
If I can be of any further pixie dusted assistance in planning this magical vacation feel free to contact me and enjoy this exciting and magical visit I am sure it will be filled with many wonderful memories.

Meet the Panelist: Amy, Virginia

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
