Hiya, Dan! My family and I have been
Disney Vacation Club members for 15 years, and we have gone from a small contract at
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort to now owning four contracts so we can vacation with family and friends. It's been the best thing we could have done with our annual vacation dollars.
There are many
member perks and benefits, that include things from dining discounts to special member events. My family and I love the
DVC member lounge at Epcot, as it gives us a place to cool off and enjoy a complimentary cold beverage on a hot summer day.
DVC owners have the option to purchase a
Disney Dining Plan, as long as you add it to your reservation at least 48 hours prior to your resort arrival. You can also add theme park tickets whenever you wish. Because adding these things isn't considered a "package", the option to pay a deposit and then pay the balance 45 days prior to arrival doesn't exist for DVC members. You pay for your tickets and the dining plan when you add them.
Did you know that DVC members get discounts on some
annual passes? It's a great way to use your points for multiple trips over the course of the year.
Good luck with your decision, Dan!
Anna
