I’m confused with the verbiage of upgrading passes. I just bought a Believe Pass in January & now want to upgrade to the top pass Inspire for parking along. I am on a payment plan. Do I have to pay off the whole pass before I upgrade or difference

Welcome to planDisney, Deja! As a fellow Magic Key Holder, I know that determining the right level is important. I am happy to help you with your questions about your upgrade.

Deja, I checked the Magic Key purchase page, and unfortunately, the Inspire Key is currently only available for renewals. Magic Keys do occasionally become available throughout the year, so I recommend following Disneyland Magic Key on Instagram for the latest news. Until then, you will not be able to upgrade your pass until your renewal window.

Should Inspire Keys become available, I confirmed with a helpful Cast Member, Lauren, that upgrading your pass will require a visit to one of the main entrance ticket booths to complete the upgrade. When you upgrade, you will pay the difference between the full price of your current pass at the time you originally purchased it and the current full price of the new pass. For example, at this current time, the Inspire Key is available for $1,749 while the Believe Key is available for $1,374. To upgrade, you would be initially responsible for the $375 difference immediately, and then you would continue to make monthly payments for the remainder of the 12-month term at the Inspire Key monthly payment price. Once again, prices are subject to change, so you should verify the current prices when you are able to upgrade.

Deja, in addition to free parking at the Disneyland Resort, don’t forget about the other Magic Key Holder benefits you will receive. For starters, Disney California Adventure is currently celebrating the Food & Wine Festival. This is always one of the tastiest times of the year to visit, with food booths serving up creative bites inspired by the rich culinary heritage of the Golden State. Be sure to check out the Disney Parks Blog’s Foodie Guide. It’s a must for planning your delicious adventure. And here’s a little Q-tip: as Magic Key holders, you’ll have access to a special discount on the Sip and Savor Pass, which comes with eight digital coupons you can use on festival food and nonalcoholic beverages. It’s a fantastic way to sample your way through the festival. My wife and I visited recently, and let me tell you, the Musubi Fried Rice and Western BBQ Burger Bao were absolutely delicious!

I hope that helps, Deja. If you have any other questions about your Magic Key, please don’t hesitate to stop by planDisney and ask!

    Wishing you a magical day,

    David
