I’m confused with this tier thing when buying tickets. I want Feb 14, 2023 for three tickets and I have to make a reservation also to get into the park??

    Hi Kim,

Welcome to planDisney! I'd be happy to help clear up any confusion regarding tickets for Disneyland Resort

At this time, one-day tickets are priced in a tiered structure that reflects different ticket price points for popular travel dates throughout the year. You'll likely notice a lower price for mid-week tickets as compared to more popular holiday and weekend dates. February 14th falls under Tier 2 pricing which means you can use it for single-day admission on any date with the same or lower tier should you have to change your travel date prior to the ticket's expiration. You would not be able to apply this ticket to a more expensive tier date like February 10-13 or February 16-26, for example.

As you purchase one-day tickets,  you'll also need to make a theme park reservation for the park you plan to visit that day. There is no additional charge for this, but it is required for entry. Even when visiting for multiple days, I always recommend making park reservations as soon as you complete your ticket purchase to ensure you can visit your preferred park.

Please note, Disneyland Park will be closing at 8 p.m. for Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts’ Nite, a special ticketed event, on February 14th. If you make a park reservation for Disneyland Park but decide not to add a Park Hopper option to your ticket, you'd need to exit the park at that time. If you choose to upgrade your one-day ticket to include park hopping, you'd be able to also visit Disney California Adventure Park beginning at 11 a.m. on February 14th, subject to capacity.

There are so many exciting things coming to Disney Parks in 2023. Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway just debuted in Mickey's Toontown, and Wondrous Journeys, a beautiful nighttime fireworks spectacular is in full swing for the Disney100 Celebration. No matter when you choose to visit, I'm certain you'll have the most magical time at The Happiest Place on Earth.

Come back and see us again with any more planning questions you might have. We'd love to help!

    Wishing you magic and memories!
