I'm confused about the Boardwalk. Can we take a bus or other form of travel from the Polynesian (where we are staying)? How long will it take to travel to and from our resort?

Getting from the Polynesian to the Boardwalk is a two-step process. First, take a bus from the Poly to Disney's Hollywood Studios. From there, you can either take a leisurely boat ride or walk to the Boardwalk, depending on the weather and your mood.

I find the Boardwalk to be a particularly nice place to walk in the evening. There are usually "street" performers such as magicians and musicians. There are also a few carnival-style games of chance, nice restaurants, a great ice cream shop, and YUMMY fried dough.

A great strategy for visiting the Boardwalk is to pair it with a trip to either Epcot or Disney's Hollywood Studios. As I mentioned, the Boardwalk is about a 10 minute boat ride or 15 minute walk from DHS. It is also about a five minute walk from the back International Gateway exit of Epcot. You simply leave the park between the World Showcase England and France pavilions and the Boardwalk is right there.

If you're going from the Poly to the Boardwalk directly, I'd allot about 45 minutes to an hour (because of transfers). But if you're already at DHS or Epcot, your travel time will be MUCH shorter.

    Have fun!
