Hiya, Janet, and thanks for stopping by planDisney! Your most magical vacation will begin in a few days, so let's talk about linking tickets and buying Lightning Lane passes. We'll get you theme-park ready in no time!
First, let's check to see if your theme park admission is already linked to your My Disney Experience account. Open your
mobile app and tap the three lines in the bottom right. Select the "My Tickets & Passes" tile to see what tickets are currently linked. If you don't see the ticket for your upcoming trip, tap the blue plus sign in the upper right and follow the prompts to link your ticket. You can also
link tickets online.
Once your admission is in your account, you're ready to purchase those passes. If you're staying at a Disney resort hotel, you can purchase Lightning Lane passes
up to 7 days before you arrive. Be sure your
resort reservation is linked to your account so the system knows you can purchase passes early. Off-site guests can purchase them 3 days in advance.
Starting at 7:00 AM EST on the day you're eligible, you'll open your app, tap the Lightning Lane Passes tile, and follow the prompts to
select your first three attractions and complete your purchase. I'll be in the parks next week, too, so I booked
Lightning Lane Multi Passes for Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park this morning. Maybe I'll see you at the Lightning Lane entrance for
Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain!
I'd also like to let you know that you can call the
Tickets and Hotel Reservations line if you have any issues linking your admission or purchasing your Lightning Lane passes. Those Cast Members have access to your account details and will be happy to help. They're like Sorcerer Mickey when it comes to working some magic!
