I'm coming to Disney with a group of moms. We planned on lots of pool time but now it seems the weather will be bad. Any non-park suggestions to maximize our time?

Hi, Sarah!  Hey, I'm a Jersey mom - how do I get in on this fabulous Moms vacation?

I love to hit Downtown Disney if the weather is cool or rainy.  There are not only shops there where you can find a Walt Disney World souvenir for everyone, but there are shops that even us Moms can spend hours browsing.  TrenD has a lot of very contemporary Disney themed items - and on a recent visit there, I found everything from handbags and jewelry to some adorable hoodies.  Basin is another shop that I can spend a lot of time in.  There are soaps and scents to make anyone happy.

You'll also find things for the holidays, the Hanes Design a Tee shop, where you can make your own t-shirts, and some cool things for your kitchen.  When you get hungry, you'll find several nice restaurants there, or stop in at Ghiradelli for an ice cream or sundae.  You might even check the schedule at the Pleasure Island movie theater.  With 24 screens, you are bound to find something to kill an afternoon if the weather is bad!

    Have a great trip!
