    I'm coming to Disney in December and I was wondering if the water parks would be open and functioning during my stay??

    Hi, Todd! Typhoon Lagoon is scheduled for refurbishment in December 2012, but Blizzard Beach will be open. The flumes, pools, and rivers feature water heated to 80 degrees, but the air will be cool. You will have to get out of the water sometime, and the air might be too cold to make that comfortable.  With that being said, I have been swimming at Walt Disney World on New Year's Day and loved every second of it.  We have also been when we needed sweatshirts and winter coats, so it all depends on the weather during your trip. You can find the hours for the water park at  www.WaltDisneyWorld.com. Select Blizzard Beach from the Parks and Tickets menu at the top of the page. On the new page, select Calendar from the menu on the left. From the drop-down menu, choose the month you need to view, like December for you. When the calendar appears, the daily park hours will be listed. Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
