Hello I’m coming to Disney April 27th-May 3rd and I’m buying my park tickets and am being given an option for “Celebration Party” for $55 per ticket . I called Disney and they did not know what this is? Is it an after hours event? How could you not know?

Hello, Jennifer! Thanks for reaching out to planDisney. It's always good to hear from a fellow New Jersey resident.

As you likely already know, many special events at the Walt Disney World Resort are offered throughout the year as a separate purchase from standard theme park tickets and vacation packages. These include Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park and Disney After Hours events offered at various parks. I've done each of these and they are unique, fun, and usually a standout experience!

It sounds like the event you are talking about is one that is offered through a third-party organization that has worked out a special event through the events coordinators at Disney. For example, sometimes sports and cheerleading organizations will rent out a space (or even a whole park) for an event exclusively for the use of people in their group. Cast Members at the Walt Disney World Resort are very knowledgeable when it comes to the ins and outs of ticketing, park operations, and so much more. However, it would be difficult to keep track of every private event that occurs at this massive resort!

My suggestion would be to reach out to the organization through which you are purchasing your tickets. They will have worked with the ever-talented Disney Meetings & Events team on all of the details of this particular event. The Walt Disney World Resort will likely not be able to provide these details.

Jennifer, I hope you have a wonderful visit to the resort. The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is in full bloom and the park looks its best! And if you're stopping by the festival, you might as well visit the Trowel & Trellis Hosted by Impossible Outdoor Kitchen near Port of Entry for my favorite food offering this year, the Impossible Lumpia with Thai Sweet Chili Sauce. It was absolutely delicious!

What beautiful blossoms we have this year,
    Matt
