I'm from Canada and am not familiar with toll roads. We are renting a car from MCO to Port Canaveral to get to our Disney cruise and would like to know how many toll booths there are on the way?  How much are they? Do you need exact change?

Welcome aboard, Cynthia! It sounds like you're getting ready for your Disney Cruise! I don't know how many days or weeks or months you have until you set sail, but it is always exciting to be planning for it!

When traveling from the Orlando airport to Port Canaveral, you'll be driving on State Road 528 most of the way, and it is a toll road. The last I heard, there were two toll booths, each costing $1.00. However, I'd be sure to have double that just in case the toll prices change, as they are often subject to do. There are a few different lanes, each marked. Some will be for exact change, others will be for the Sun Pass system, and others for those who need change will drive through a booth where someone is working to make change for you. I'd suggest bringing quarters as it's the fastest and easiest thing to do. The lines for those who need change are longer than the fast pay lines, and if you're on your way to the port, you just want to get to your Disney cruise, not wait in toll lines!

I understand that some car rental companies offer a Sun Pass rental with the cars, but you'll actually pay more to do that than just to pay the small tolls yourself, so pack a roll of quarters and get ready to head off on a very magical cruise, Cynthia!

Have fun as you continue to plan, and know that I'm always happy to help if you have further questions!
