    I'm calling on the food expert for HELP! going to WDW 8/21-8/28. Just found out Flame Tree BBQ, my favorite QS is going to be closed during that time. Are there any other good QS BBQ places thru out WDW?

    Patty,

    There is other barbecue to be had at Walt Disney World, other than just at the Flame Tree BBQ. But there are only two places that really makes it the focus of the meal;

    Mickey's Backyard BBQ - This expensive character meal is more event than meal. It is held 2x weekly during most of the year, and it is fun. But is the BBQ worth the extra cost? I would say no if the show part of the meal is not of interest to you.

    Whispering Canyon Cafe - This is where I would go. The BBQ on the Canyon Skillet includes both ribs and pulled pork (at dinner, only ribs at lunch), and both are very good. The pricing far more reasonable as well. This restaurant has always been on my top 5 dining destinations at Walt Disney World, so certainly I don't think you can go wrong.

    There are plenty of other places with barbecue on the menu, in one form or another. Paradiso 37 (BBQ Chicken Sliders), Yak and Yeti (hoisin BBQ ribs), and the Spirit of Aloha dinner show (ribs), are a few of the more notable. So try them out, if offered!

    Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
