When a California resident purchases the special three day
California Resident Ticket, the purchaser must confirm during checkout that all ticket holders are California residents. The adult may be asked for a valid California ID when entering the theme parks. There is an assumption that any minor children with that adult also reside in the same household or within California. The kiddos may be asked to verbally confirm, but it is usually quick and easy. As long as everyone using those tickets is a California resident, you can absolutely purchase these special tickets for them. If your grandkids are visiting from another state, you will want to purchase a
Standard Multi Day Ticket instead.
One more thing to keep in mind is the expiration date. The California Resident Tickets must be used by May 21, 2026, and all three visits need to occur before that date. If your grandkids are coming after that window, there is another fantastic offer to look forward to. From May 22, 2026 through September 7, 2026, kids ages 3 to 9 can enjoy the
Kids’ Summer Ticket Offer. It includes a One Day Park Hopper ticket for only $50, and each additional day is another $50. There are a few rules to note, such as Multi-Day tickets needing to be used within a 13 day period, but it is an amazing deal for families planning a summertime visit.
