Welcome to
planDisney, Joe! Thanks for sending us your question.
When it comes to purchasing and using Florida Resident theme park tickets, they must first be activated by showing
Proof of Florida Residency. If you are able to validate your ticket online, you're one step ahead of the game. Otherwise, anyone over the age of 18 must show valid ID to prove their Florida residency at any Ticket window or
Disney Springs Guest Services location, in order to be able to use this type of ticket.
You can absolutely purchase a
Florida Resident theme park ticket for a friend or relative who is under the age of 18, but you must validate that ticket in person by showing your Florida ID at any of the locations listed above.
Mickey and his friends offer all kinds of promotions for their neighbors, so make sure you take a look at the
Special Offers that may be available to you during your visit. You can absolutely use your resident status to book a Disney Resort Collection hotel and stay with your family and friends at the discounted rate.
Joe, please feel free to come back to see us if you have any more planning questions about your next visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort! It's always our pleasure to help you!
Veronica
