I'm a budgeted single mom and will be visiting WDW in September, with my 12 and 3 yr old sons. (Big age gap). Can you suggest parks/activities/rides that will appeal to both of them at the same time so one isn't left out?

Hi, Krissi, and thanks for visiting the Moms Panel!  With daughters aged 17, 7 and 3, I know your concerns first hand!  With such a big age gap between children, it's sometimes hard to know where to go and what to do so everyone is happy!

This is one of the BIG reasons I love Walt Disney World is because it doesn't matter how old you are, there is something for everyone there!  Not only that, but there are things that my 3 year old will enjoy as much as my 17 year old will - which is something I haven't found anywhere else.

You will find things like Pirates of the Caribbean and the Jungle Cruise appeal to all ages, and I know even my three year old loves the Haunted Mansion, which is a favorite of the other two.  All of those things are in the Magic Kingdom, which is our favorite all around.

Things at EPCOT you can do include the ride through Spaceship Earth.  It's an interesting educational journey for the 12 year old, but something the 3 year old will enjoy as well.  And although the 3 year old is probably too small to ride Mission Space, there is a cool play area inside that he can enjoy while big brother rides the attraction.

I would think the Magic Kingdom is the safest bet to keep both boys happy, and then maybe let the 12 year old in on the planning and see where there are the most things he'd like to see.  I can always entertain my three year old while we wait for the older kids to enjoy a ride much easier than I can do it the other way around!
