I'm bringing my grandson for a 1 day visit to MK. I've purchased his ticket and have received it in the mail. I do want to get him a magic band when we get to the park - do I need to show any ID when purchasing the magic band and linking his ticket

    Hi Stephanie,
Thanks for stopping by to see us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I think you've just put yourself on the ballot for Grandma of the Year! Your grandson must be just over the moon to join you at the Walt Disney World Resort!

If you don't already have an account in My Disney Experience, I'd say that's the best place to start.  Sign up, link your tickets, then link the ticket for your grandson to each of your profiles within the application.  You can purchase a MagicBand for him ahead of time if you'd like to do so, or you may wait until your arrival if you'd rather do it that way instead.  You will not need any ID to link his park ticket to a new MagicBand; in fact, should you do it while at Walt Disney World, the Cast Member assisting you with your purchase can also link your band for you right then and there. You will need his park ticket for the link, though.

Should you purchase a MagicBand online, you can link it using your desktop computer and My Disney Experience using the code on the reverse side of the MagicBand, provided that he is associated with his ticket in My Disney Experience.

Stephanie, I hope you're ready for a fantastic trip with your grandson. Here's to hoping for a lifetime of wonderful memories.

    Best Wishes,
    Amy S.
